Case Study 3 – Vibration

Problem:

A continuously bothersome vibration problem with a 49-1/2″ diameter overhung centrifugal fan. The fan is a hood exhaust fan on a Yankee Dryer. The customer had a spare wheel and shaft assembly in stock.

Solution:

Robinson Fans removed the wheel and shaft assembly.
Even though the fan was in a nearly inaccessible location, our crew of three men accomplished the change-out, realignment, assembly and trim balance in less than two days.

Result:

Due to our expertise and being completely self-sufficient, Robinson completed another field project in a timely and cost-effective manner and satisfied another pleased and valuable customer.
