Backward Curved Fans
Robinson Backward Curved (BC) industrial fans represent a versatile fan series for quiet, high-efficiency service. Named for its curved, backward-tilted from the direction of rotation blade angle, Backward Curved fan designs can provide aerodynamic efficiencies up to 85%. Backward Curved fan designs are utilized in a wide range of applications, including forced draft, combustion air, and induced draft. Backward Curved designs can be found in applications ranging from clean air to gas streams heavily laden with dust or erosive particles. Designs span a broad range of volume and pressure requirements from low volume, high pressure to medium-high volume, low pressure.
Industrial Backward Curved
BC fan designs are deployed in many industries, including cement, power, steel, ethanol, coal, mining, paper drying, and many more facilities worldwide. Materials of construction include carbon steels, austenitic stainless steels, duplex stainless steels and numerous nickel alloys and other non-ferrous options to meet customer process requirements. BC fans can also be provided with wear/erosion liners to protect structural components.
