CURRENT OPENINGS:

CNC MACHINIST – SECOND SHIFT
We are seeking a highly dynamic CNC Machinist for our Second Shift.  This position performs measuring operations that are within the scope of operations for all equipment.  We need someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, with the ability to proficiently read detailed drawings, blueprints, machining procedures and shop travelers.  This position will report directly to the Machine Shop Group Leader. 

Schedule/Hours are Monday – Thursday from 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Responsibilities

  • Review project assignment/instructions from Team Leader
  • Review drawings and machining requirements for this job
  • Obtain understanding of task and develop action plan
  • Set up machine and other required equipment
  • Supervise machines and make any adjustments to produce better results
  • Ensure work meets quality standards
  • Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes
  • Practice safety in all aspects of job
  • Look for safety issues with equipment and processes
  • Participate in safety improvement programs
  • Participate in tier meetings

Qualifications:

  • A combination of training and machining experience is required for this position.  High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must take the initiative and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Read and understand Robinson detail drawings, blueprints, machining procedures, and shop travelers
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have the ability to be a fast learner in an effort to use all Robinson Machine Shop equipment, tools, measuring equipment, and all cranes. 
  • Strong computer skills to enter job logs, and job information.
  • Well-organized and be able to adapt and effectively multi-task, prioritize

WELDER – SECOND SHIFT
We are seeking a highly dynamic Welder for our Second Shift.  This position performs welding on most equipment fabricated at our Zelienople facility while learning to be proficient in all equipment. Learn to tack and fit as needed in the shop.  This position will report directly to the Second Shift Team Leader. 

Schedule/Hours are Monday – Thursday from 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

  • Look for Safety Issues with equipment and processes
  • Understand the Principles of Lean Manufacturing (5S System should be followed in their work area)
  • Participate in Kaizen(focused improvement) projects
  • Learn best practices from team leaders and other team members to improve your knowledge and skill levels. 
  • Recommend process improvements on idea boards
  • Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • A combination of training and welding experience is required for this position
  • Ability to consistently produce high quality welds on all fabricated components

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualifications as well as AWS D14.6 if it applies to their shop
  • Read and understand Robinson weld detail drawings, welding procedures, and shop travelers. Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication

SALES ESTIMATOR
We are seeking a highly innovative Sales Estimator who will provide excellent customer service, precise data entry and precision estimates for our Rapid Response and New Fan Departments. The Estimator is responsible for calculating and preparing quotes, labor costs, material costs for our customers in a timely fashion.  This position will also work directly with our customers on analyzing their needs regarding their repair or replacement needs. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review customer inquiries and specifications.
  • Compile pricing, production timeline, production capability and prepare quote to send to customer using all applicable processes.
  • If necessary, view, inspect and evaluate incoming customer equipment for functionality.
  • Ensure all customer, pricing and quote information is stored appropriately.
  • Answer and return all customer and representative inquiries and questions in a timely and helpful manner.
  • Build relationship with sub-vendors to obtain accurate and prompt information.
  • Communicate with the customers and External Independent Sales Representatives (EISR) to resolve any questions or request additional data to aid in the preparation of a quotation as applicable.
  • Generate sales order when needed or present to order entry specialist for sales order generation.
  • Oversee that production schedule is maintained and all necessary information is provided to production.
  • repairs.
  • Review and ensure that all information on customer purchase order is accurate and matches information in internal quotation documents.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, training, or other sales team events.
  • Complete additional work as requested by sales leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience of estimating or sales experience with significant background in customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings. 
  •  Basic Math skills to use mathematical techniques to calculate data or solve practical problems as related to this position.
  •  Physical & mental ability to gather and interpret data related to specifications, customer and engineering requirements, manufacturing operations, etc. 
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information.
